§ 11-2-14. Power of city council to grant or refuse certificate.
(a)
The city council shall have the authority to grant a certificate as applied for, or to grant a certificate to the applicant for a lesser number of taxicabs than specified in the application, or to deny the application in the exercise of its sound discretion after consideration of the factors prescribed in section 11-2-13.
(b)
Each certificate shall be granted for a maximum number of taxicabs, but not less than seven (7).
(c)
A holder of a certificate may request an increase in the maximum allowable number of taxicabs according to the procedure in section 11-2-11.
