§ 9-2-7. State plumbing code adopted by reference.
Latest version.
All provisions of the North Carolina State Building Code, Volume II, "Plumbing," 1980
edition, are hereby adopted and made applicable to the area within the corporate limits
of the city and the city's extraterritorial area (hereinafter referred to as the "environs").
The code is hereinafter incorporated and made a part hereof as if it were set out
in full herein, and three (3) copies of the code are on file with the city clerk.
In the event any ordinance of the city is more stringent than the code hereinabove
adopted and having been approved by the North Carolina Building Code Council, the
ordinance or ordinances shall be applicable rather than the state code. In the event,
however, the provisions of the code are more stringent, then in such case the state
code shall be followed. Exception: North Carolina Building Code Council approval for
the use of bituminous fiber pipe for sewer.
