§ 5-2-21. Adoption of fire prevention code.

(a)

There is hereby adopted by the city for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion that certain code, known as and entitled the North Carolina State Building Code: Fire Prevention Code, 2012 Edition, and including the North Carolina State Building Code: Fire Prevention Code Appendices B, C, D, F, and H. Not less than three (3) copies are on file in the office of the city clerk, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated fully as if set out in length herein, and the provisions of the North Carolina State Building Code: Fire Prevention Code, 2012 Edition, shall control within the limits of the city.

(b)

Amendments to the North Carolina State Building Code: Fire Prevention Code, 2012 Edition, which are adopted and published by the North Carolina State Building Code Council, shall be effective and incorporated herein at the time of the amendments' adoption, including Appendices B, C, D, F, and H.
