§ 2-3-73. Criteria for commission review.

  • To provide guidelines to owners of historic properties; to provide reasonable standards to assist the historic properties commission in its review, during the waiting period required by section 2-3-70 of this article, of an owner's proposed demolition, material alteration, remodeling or removal of a historic property; and, to provide reasonable standards to assist the commission in determining whether to recommend the revocation or removal of historic property designation on account of a change in a property which has caused its historical significance to be lost or substantially impaired; the commission shall adopt criteria for review which shall be submitted to the local board or council for its approval prior to the commission's review of an owner's application for a certificate of appropriateness and prior to the commission's recommendation of revocation or removal of designation.
