§ 10-1-138. Pedestrians soliciting rides, business or contributions.

  • (a)

    No person shall stand, sit or walk in a roadway for the purpose of soliciting a ride, employment, business or contributions from the occupant of any vehicle traveling in or upon a roadway or stopped momentarily in compliance with a duly erected traffic control device or traffic sign located upon the roadway.

    (b)

    No person shall stand on or in proximity to a street or highway for the purpose of soliciting the watching or guarding of any vehicle while parked or about to be parked on a street or highway or while soliciting such vehicles to park in an off-street parking facilities.
